ONE People’s Campaign’s Endorses Hoan Huynh,
IL 13th State House District
Grassroots leaders choose Hoan Huynh as most progressive candidate in 6-way race to represent far north side in Springfield.
ONE People’s Campaign (OPC) is pleased to endorse Hoan Huynh in the IL-13th State House District 2022 Democratic Primary election. Hoan Huynh is running on a platform that speaks to the needs of low-income and working class people, immigrant families, and long-time residents of the district. His priorities are affordable housing, the economy and the climate crisis. He is committed to co-governing with progressive organizations, including ONE People’s Campaign. “Hoan Huynh’s experience as a refugee navigating our public systems gave our members confidence that he understands the challenges everyday people face and that he will be a fierce advocate for his constituents in Springfield. He understands the critical importance of fighting for affordable housing, making sure we expand language access to government services, addressing the climate crisis, and fighting for protections for workers. In a crowded field with many good options, Mr. Huynh rose to the top as the strongest champion for Uptown and its residents,” said Rabbi Suzanne Griffel, member of ONE People’s Campaign’s Chicago Political Committee and resident of the 13th district.

As a refugee from Vietnam, I am committed to ensuring that all of our experiences are valued and voices are heard. We can and must build a future that puts people first. We’re full speed ahead for these last 10 weeks and excited to have One People’s Campaign with us!” said Hoan Huynh.
